Description

Initial Load

Executed when the ad is loaded and contains all the files that the ad needs to provide an initial graphical representation. A maximum of 15 files may be loaded, such as images, JavaScript, trackings, etc.

Sub Load

Once the initial HTML document is fully loaded and parsed, additional files can be loaded (DOMContentLoaded-Event). Suitable for more complex animations. Another 30 files may be loaded.

User Initiated Load

Here we define the interaction with an ad (click, touch and mouseOver). An unlimited amount of files may be reloaded. The file weight is unlimited.

For mobile, please note that there is a limited data connection and usually a lower bandwidth available. File size and weights should therefore be kept as low as possible.

Note

BCN accepts HTML advertising media as redirect only. Physical delivery is currently excluded. BCN advises against the use of an HTML converter. The advertising media must be tested by the creative agency on all common browsers. The creator of the advertising material is responsible for browser compatibility.

BCN requests that the BVDW and IAB guidelines be observed when delivering HTML advertising materials.

BCN only checks browser compatibility on a random basis. Redirects as script-tags are permitted. However, there is a greater risk of collisions with the page with script-tags compared to iFrame-tags. This is especially the case with improper or careless implementation of HTML ad code. Such collisions can be avoided by technical measures such as namespaces, prefixes or encapsulation by iFrame. BCN therefore reserves the right to insist on the delivery of redirects as iFrame-tags in individual cases.
